We would like to announce that after 6 or so great years of playing music together, we are disbanding. We have been running low on the fire and enthusiasm that has made Useless Children the band it is, so we have made the decision to disband (not break up) and pursue other projects, musically and non musically, until the urgency and need for this outlet returns. I guess you would call it an indefinite hiatus. We are very proud of everything we have done and achieved, and feel extremely privileged to have met and worked with so many amazing people; musicians, labels, bookers and punters alike. We would specially like to say thanks to Jensen and Jon of Iron Lung records and Darius Hurley at Criminal IQ for risking valuable money, time and resources on a band from the other side of the world, and EXO records for giving us a kick start and endless support locally. These people made it extremely easy for us to be in a band and we thank them for all their hard work. To Brent Punshon, Alex Newport, Raul Sanchez and Mikey Young for their amazing work on our records. To Morgan McWaters for being the best sound man that has ever existed and to Dream Decay for being the best tour buddies that ever existed. Thanks also to anyone who booked or tried to book us a show, to all the bands we played with and to every person that came and saw us play and/or bought our records. Our final show for the foreseeable future will be in two weeks, on Sunday February 16, with feedtime, Deaf Wish and the Bunyip Moon. We are stoked to wind it up on such a high point with bands whom we have such history with.
