We would like to announce that the Tommy West Fund, Inc. (Check out their FB page please) has announced their upcoming dates for their 5th annual Scooter Ride and Motorcycle ride. Tommy West was a wonderful individual and forever caring about all he knew. He was warm and giving. Tragically he lost life to an accident, but his family and friends have kept his legacy alive. In the Past 4 years $22,835 has been donated through the non-profit bearing his name. A vast multitude of Charitable Organizations have benefited from this fund, including Thurmont and Emmitsburg Little Leagues, Thurmont Food Bank,Catoctin Safe and Sane, families in need have received Christmas items during the Holiday Season, they also sponsor a hole at the Karson Brewster Annual Golf Tournament. As you can see even in Tommys physical absence from this earth he still manages to improve the life of others, and he did that well on earth and he still continues to do the same from Heaven above. So clean up your scooters and motorcycles and prepare to ride for one of the greatest causes in the area. The Scooter Ride is August 23 in Thurmont begins at 930am at the American Legion, The Motorcycle Ride is September 6 930 am at the Thurmont American legion. Ticket costs will be announced this Tuesday, there are many ways to support this cause such as being a sponsor. Join in and support your community, Tommy always did ! and through his legacy he still does.
