We would like to has a moment of silence to remember those souls lost on September 11, 2001. Mom and dad were stationed in Italy at that time, long, long before an Twist was borned. She had taken leave because her sissy and daddy was coming to visit on 13 Sept. Mom told me she was working in the yard and it was a beautiful, peaceful afternoon when Dad called from work and said a plane hit the WTC. Mom turned on the TV. She said she was sort of confused and then...the second plane hit. She said she never felt such horror in her life. She went outside, sat on the front steps and cried. Mom said it was very strange to be part of the military and yet have no way to help those at home. She said she was real angry. Her commander told everyone to stay home and keep a low profile. Too this day mom remembers the beautiful Italian afternoon and the helplessness she felt. To all those Americans who lost their lives that day, me and Twist bow our heads and tell you...you is not forgotten.
