We would like to share the recently received Christmas greetings from the crew of MT Iver Best with all of you. The message and photos were received from CPT Arnold V. Racaza: Christmas is an annual Christian Holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, with most people around the world Christian or non-Christian enjoying a long holiday season. Some are out of town, out of country, taking a long break from works and having fun with family and friends. Life at sea previously meant limited access to communication with families and loved ones, it took a week or even a month for love notes and messages to reach the recipient. Seafarers nowadays belong to the computer-age generation. We are very grateful to the ship owners for their concerns for seafarers at sea. Through the KVH – VSAT, providing powerful WIFI on board, we can easily keep in touch with families, friends and loved ones, even when we are oceans apart. These photos show the crew of MT “Iver Best” under the command of Capt. Arnold V. Racaza. Even though most of us would prefer to be with his family during this holiday season, the nature of our profession means we are required to spend a number of months on the open sea. Despite this, we still feel the spirit of Christmas is truly in our hearts.
