We would like to welcome all the new likes to Soldiers off the Street and thank you for your support. It seems we are attending more and more meetings at the moment on top of helping homeless veterans for example yesterday we had a very important meeting from 9am until after 12 midday, then we had to meet Lee our Lancashire coordinator and Andy one of Lee’s Lancashire volunteers, they was taking a homeless veteran from Preston to Congleton for 7pm (after a day fundraising) where there was a room waiting for him, this lad was a ex Royal Hussars see photo of him off the street and in the warm. Then while we was there we got an emergency call about an ex RE on the street in North Wales about 5 minutes from our head office, so it was a 1½ hour drive back to North Wales to pick him up then a 1½ hour drive back to Congleton where there was a room waiting for him see photo of us picking him up, after settling him in and making sure he had some food it was back home for us getting home after 2 this morning so as you can see we do some very long days thankfully not this long most of the time but worth it with two veterans of the street with a roof over their heads and all the help they need.
