We would would like to respond to a recent post on the Guardian - TopicsExpress

We would would like to respond to a recent post on the Guardian site which was clearly directed at our rescue. We were not upset at McAfee Animal Hospital in any way, we appreciate there prompt and excellent care of the animals that we rescued. We were disturbed by the behavior of Sherri Christopher when she instructed the staff at McAfee to withhold from us Preacers vet records. When we called McAfee’s they would not release them to us as they had always done in the past, and directed us to Sherri, who refused to answer our many calls & messages, which in return held up his adoption. We do not understand why there would be a issue with us getting vet records directly, when we have done so in the past so that Sherri would not have to spend the time doing so. When we could not get access to the records, the adopters vet called McAfee’s and was also given a hard time, although with much persuasion they finally received the information. Attempts to restrict us from getting Preachers vet records were a direct result of a disagreement between Sherri and our rescue over the possible medical treatment of Frankie, another dog we rescued, and had an adoption app on. I do not wish to get into the specifics of this, unless I must defend our rescue, however we did not agree on his possible treatment, nor did his adopter, and we were told that it was not our concern and the decision was not in the hands of our rescue nor the person adopting. During the recent week we make phone calls, and we left messages that went completely unanswered, which prompted us to make our plea public so Preacher could go for adoption. We truly believe politics has no place in this process , its all about the dogs.
