Wealth and values are linked together. My wealth mentor explained me something very beautiful today. He said there will come two points in life when it comes to wealth. A point where money makes everything better and a point where money stops mattering all that much. In Spanish they have a proverb, He who doesnt have it, does it, and he who has it, misuses it. So he goes on to explain that for upper middle-class and above to say, No we cant to No we wont to their children is much more difficult because that requires you to have a set of values, ground principles to articulate them and how to make them plausible to your child. He further went on to explain how investing values in your children is far important than investing fancy toys & brands throughout their life. The difference between a man and a boy is the difference between the price of a toy. Values is what keeps the foundation of a society concrete and we are left long way behind in that subject. We are in a time of crisis of values. Thats why we have a lot of grown up BOYS who have no intellectual thought, or a constructive critique, or an independent stand, rationality, art of patience or respect of opinions. We have lost youth who are wandering without a purpose. Yes, I understand that not all those who wander are lost but all those who are lost, wanders. This is how we create monsters in society. Big grown monsters. Angry Goliaths. Confused wanderers. Then we ask, What happened to our society. Invest more in values than stocks. Invest more in ethics than mansions. Invest more in respecting people more than respecting material. Note: Not generalizing. Exceptions are excluded.
