Weater Channel app said wed have snow and rain showers today. At 10:50 pm we have 11.25 inches of snow at our house. At 5 pm, when I saw golf ball-sized snowflakes falling, I said, I dont wanna go out in that, to go to our church small-group meeting near Windsor. However, I thought it would pass. Ha! Dicey getting out there, even worse getting back. For the first time in many years, perhaps decades, we couldnt make it up Park Ave. I let Kris out to walk a couple hundred yards up the road to our friends hone, while I turned around and took the car back to the bottom of the hill, and walked from there. They offered to put us up for the night. They have four-wheel drive vehicles, but I didnt want them to try getting us up two more hills, even with those. I was willing to walk the third of a mile home and let Kris stay there. But, the county finally plowed Park Ave, and our friend was willing to try it, and he got us home. So, a big thank you to Doug and Linda Thorne! A third of a mile, but the change in elevation meant we gad four more inches of snow than at their house. Dont laugh too hard, Tom Byrd and Ken Godfrey.
