Weather Advisory #9 Typhoon Luis [KALMAEGI] Issued at 5:00 AM, 14 Sept 2014 Typhoon Luis has maintained its strength and is now threatening Cagayan-Isabela area. At 4:00 AM today, the center of Typhoon “LUIS” was estimated based on all available data at 266 km North Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or at 347 km East Southeast of Casiguran, Aurora (15.8°N, 125.3°E). Maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. Typhoon “LUIS” is expected to make landfall over Cagayan-Isabela area this evening. It is expected to be in the vicinity of Tuguegarao City by tomorrow morning and will exit the landmass through Ilocos Norte. By Tuesday morning, it is expected to be at 419 km West of Laoag City or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Signal # 3 Cagayan, Isabela, Kalinga, Mt.
