Weather Alert!!: Needles, CA: Snow in Needles, California. As of 1:37pm PT on Wednesday, December 31st, 2014, snow has fallen in the community of Needles, California. Snowflakes continue to fall and stick to the ground near the McDonalds Restaurant next to Interstate 40 and J Street in Downtown Needles, California. According to the City of Needles website, although snowfall is very rare, 15.2 inches of snow fell in January 1949, including 12.2 inches on January 12, 1949. At around 11:56am PT on Wednesday, December 31st, 2014, lots snowflakes continue to fall along Needles Highway near North K Street in Needles, California as well as on the Needles Bridge, on the Colorado River, and in Mohave Valley, Arizona. At around 8:30am PT on Wednesday, December 31st, 2014, some of the very light snowflakes are landing on ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A.
