Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 225 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 260 kph. Movement: Forecast to move west northeast at 39 kph. Forecast position: Expected to make landfall this morning, 5 a.m. over Guiuan, Eastern Samar. It will be at 170 km west northwest of Coron, Palawan or outside the PHL AOR.
