Weather Forecast for KENT - FRIDAY 21st November 14. SYNOPSIS: We continue to be stuck between low pressure to the west of the UK and high pressure over Scandinavia, thus putting us under a slack continental air flow. TODAY . . . Putting it simply, it is going to be a dull and overcast day (yes, I said the same thing yesterday and it actually turned out quite nice, but today I am more sure of it). The cloud will become thick enough to produce some rain as we wear onto the afternoon. However, I am expecting it not to amount to that much, just merely make for a rather clammy and damp end to the day. Also, the cloud base may tend to be low enough to shroud high ground as hill fog. Temperatures will be hovering around 9 C or 10 C (48 F to 50 F) under a moderate south east breeze. All in all, a rather meh end to the week, personally I wouldnt bother hanging the line washing out today. TONIGHT . . . Generally rather cloudy but is likely to be rain-free - and even a few clear breaks may develop over the South of our county, but has been said in low confidence. The cloud that are about may carry on being low enough to shroud high ground as hill fog. Oddly, though, it is actually going to grow milder as we go through the night with temperatures being at 13 C (55 F) - warmer than during the day! This is thanks to our wind turning in from the south with a long fetch from North Africa. WEEKEND . . . Tomorrow (Saturday) will be cloudy and dull, but is likely to stay rain free. However it will be very mild with temperatures rising to as high as 15 C (59 F), thats going to feel positively balmy compared to of late. With all that to mind, air quality may take a hit for a time due to increased particulates (dust and smog) in the atmosphere. However, Sunday is expected to be cooler and damp with overcast skies and outbreaks of mostly light rain - but at least itll be fresher with better air quality. NEXT WEEK . . . Mixed with varied cloud amounts, showers and some sunny spells. Becoming breezy by the end of the week and more especially in the weekend. Temperatures always sticking close to average values. And before you ask, nope, still cannot see any real cold or snow for us as I am expecting the Atlantic to carry on having an influence on our weather for quite a while.
