Weather History for October 24 1908 Kansas City was hit with a surprise snowstorm that turned out to be the second heaviest and second earliest October snowstorm of record, .October 25th is the latest day in the year to have a low temperature in the 70s (1939). 1933 A London High Fog settled over the city causing midnight at mid-day as a temperature inversion formed, trapping fog and smoke beneath it. The sun turned yellow, red, and sometimes disappeared. A pilot said it looked like a huge black mushroom shrouding the city. 1992 Near Flagstaff, Arizona, three tornadoes touched down. One tornado tracked across the Crater National Monument.
