This front is bringing showers to the western slopes of the ranges, and a period of more vigorous winds across southern and central areas. Conditions will ease somewhat later Sunday and Monday as the front moves further away and the ridge briefly becomes dominant. The next front forecast to traverse the region during Tuesday, delivering another burst of showery and windy weather to southern and central parts of the Hunter. Forecast for the rest of Sunday - Mostly sunny day. Isolated showers about the Lower Hunter early this morning. Winds westerly 25km to 30km increasing to 30 to 40 km/h in the morning, then easing to 15 to 20km. Daytime maximum temperatures between 14 and 19. (source BOM 4 August 5.16am)
