Weather Situation A strong and slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea maintains a ridge over New South Wales over the weekend. The ridge moves slowly northwards as a low pressure system enters the far southern parts of the state later on Monday. An afternoon south to southwesterly wind change is expected on Monday along the South Coast associated with the trough reaching Sydney overnight. Forecast for the rest of Sunday Clear. Light winds becoming northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Monday 21 October Sunny morning. Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms from the early afternoon. Winds north to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h tending north to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 13 with daytime temperatures reaching 26 to 34.
