By the afternoon, a ridge of high pressure will bring sunny skies to the majority of the country. Monterrey will be partly cloudy with a high of 92(F)/ 33(C), while Mexico City will be sunny with a high of 81(F)/ 27(C). Scattered showers and stray thunderstorms will develop over several Central American countries due to a surge of monsoonal moisture from the Caribbean. Countries that will have a chance of wet weather include Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Across the Caribbean, the tail end of a cold front will provide rain and a chance of thunderstorms to eastern Cuba, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
