Weather Update: Conditions today were typical for mid-September - TopicsExpress

Weather Update: Conditions today were typical for mid-September weather across the Western Slope. High pressure building in from the west provided sunny skies and clear conditions Sunday afternoon. After two evenings with cooler overnight temperatures, lows Sunday night will be back to normal values, in the lower 50s for the Grand Valley under mostly clear skies. On Monday, highs will be slightly warmer than they were today, reaching the mid 80s for Grand Junction. Skies will remain mostly sunny and winds will be out of the west northwest at 5 to 10 mph. The start of the work week will be similar to this weekend, with highs in the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. This pattern will persist through the middle of the upcoming week, when an approaching system brings more clouds and moisture to the Western Slope. Friday will be the best chance for showers in the Grand Valley, and highs will cool off because of the system heading into next weekend. Chief Meteorologist Greg Rule
