Weather Warning for Strong Winds and Heavy Rain The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that rainfalls potentially up to 60 mm are expected in the North east and East Coast in the next 24 hours. There is a strong wind warning for the far North West Coast. The State Emergency Service (SES) advises people who are driving overnight or on Wednesday morning to check local weather and road conditions. SES Assistant Director, Brian Edmonds, would like to remind motorists travelling in areas affected by rain to drive to the conditions, slow-down in inclement weather, turn on headlights, allow longer travel times and be mindful that recent warmer weather may contribute to slippery road conditions after initial rainfall.
