Weather forecasters are predicting sub-zero temperatures for the Hudson Valley tonight with wind chill factors as low as -20 degrees. Prolonged exposure to these temperatures could cause frostbite and hypothermia. Please stay warm and take time today to check on any at-risk relatives and friends -- especially the elderly -- to make sure they are aware of these conditions and have safe, functioning home heating systems. If you know anyone who is homeless, encourage them to seek shelter. And keep your pets indoors.
