Weather is getting just perfect for criminals to start rearing their ugly heads. Do you have expensive toys? ensure theyre locked up and if possible unseen when you take them out or bring them back. Consider buying wall or floor anchors with some nice thick grade 80 rigging chain and a padlock that is the same shackle thickness. Most of the stuff at bunnings isnt even suitable to secure your mailbox. Visit a locksmith for a proper padlock or use ebay. many military grade locks can be had for a tenth of their price. also consider abloy pl350 or pl362, Mul t lock 1/2 shackle padlocks. Abus rock 83/55 (11mm shackle) or 83/80 (15mm shackle) series, these 2 can be keyed to your house key (lockwood, not gainsborough) for a small fee. Its a small price for keeping your toy. You wont stop those determined, but you may slow them down enough for them to risk being caught Are your bushes too big? theyre a nice little hiding spot for burglars Do you leave your wallet in your centre console because its just easier? Or leave your windows down? or leave valuables in plain sight? Easy pickings and nice encouragement to keep snooping do your side gates have locks on them? The harder for them to sneak around the better. When was the last time you spoke to your neighbours? If they go on holidays, be a good sport and watch over their place while theyre away. Is your mailbox chockers? No wonder the City Of Cockburn have weekly recycling bin collections with all the crap advertising leading up to the end of year.. Just 2 days of junk and youre place sticks out from the rest.
