Weaving-Baskets In Art this term we are learning how to weave. At the start of this week we started doing some research about where weaving came from and learnt about Native American basket making. We found this really interesting and decided we wanted to have a go at making some colourful baskets ourselves. Miss Anderson found that we could make a basket from a paper cup and string. We didn’t believe her at first but then she showed us how and it was actually quite easy! We had to weave in and out around the cup and the cup was cut down the sides so we could fold it out to weave around. Have a look at us making our baskets – you might want to try it at home!
