Webster University Film Series Presents This weekend at 7:30PM - The Evolution of the Zombie concludes ZOMBIE (AKA ZOMBIE 2) (Lucio Fulci, 1979, Italy, 91 min.) Two guards investigate an abandon sailboat, the Antilles, when attacked by a zombie. Anne Bowles (Tisa Farrow), The daughter of the ships owner, searches for information about her missing father. She meets Peter West (Ian McCulloch), a journalist, and they travel to Matul Island to search for answers. They cross paths with Dr. David Menard (Richard Johnson), who conducts to find a cure to a disease and brings the dead back to life, turning them into zombies that eat human flesh. German filmmaker Doris Dörrie turns her attention to Buddhism and that age-old saying, you are what you eat. In How To Cook Your Life, Dörrie enlists the help of the charismatic Zen Master Edward Espe Brown to explain the guiding principles of Zen Buddhism as they apply to the preparation of food, and to life itself. How To Cook Your Life teaches us to be attentive in our everyday dealings with the most mundane things, and also open our eyes to one of the most beautiful occupations: cooking. Followed by a discussion about compassion in action and the worldwide efforts of Buddhist Global Relief, as well as local activities by the Buddhist Council.
