Wed 22Jan 11:30 Don Fernando Not Forgotten Outreach’s Taos Ski Valley Weekend OFF Mountain Volunteer Duties & Descriptions NFO Greeters & Ambassadors – Greet Participant & Volunteers with an Event Schedule that has a TSV Resort Center Map, on the backside. Inform Participants of procedures of event. Have Non-Stair Climbing Participant Escorted to elevators & Registration. Greeters (3 NFO Volunteers Fri/Sat AM/PM (1) NFO Volunteer Sun AM) • Direct & Show Skiers o Where to purchase tickets at TSV Main Ticket Window, o Where to purchase Group or Private Lessons o Show Participants where to pick up their Free rental equipment o Remind Participants to register at the Looking Glass & pick up their gift bag • Direct Volunteers to Volunteer Registration in the Looking Glass, tickets issued at Registration • Direct Parents w/ children for Lessons to the childrens center, the first building you will see on your right hand side past the parking lot. There is a large wooden sign at the edge of the parking lot with childrens center listed on it. • Adaptive Skiers – Have NFO Ambassadors escort them to the elevators in the Snakedance Condominium Hotel or TSV Resort Center to Registration in the Looking Glass. • Lesson Purchasers: Check in w/ TSV Ski School at base lift #1, after equipment issue. Group Lessons start at 9:45AM-12:00PM and 1:15-3:30pm • Lift Tickets only purchases; are available at REGISTRATION in the Looking Glass, for participants with their own equipment. NFO Ambassadors - Lead the NON-STAIR CLIMBING Participants to the elevators in the Snakedance Condominiums Hotel or TSV Resort Center to Registration in the Looking Glass. (3 NFO Volunteers Fri & Sat AM/PM (2) NFO Volunteers Sun AM) TSV Resort Center Kitchen Escort – The NFO Participants must be escorted through the Kitchen area of the TSV Resort Center. There is a “Secret 3rd Floor” push-button located on the bottom of the Elevator control panel; on the right side, that will take you to the floor the Looking Glass is on. The elevator opens into the kitchen area of the TSV Resort Center; You are responsible for being aware of Restaurant Staff as you transgress through the kitchen and dining area with NFO Participants (3 NFO Volunteers Fri, Sat, Sun AM/PM (2) Saturday until 9:30pm). Snakedance Condominiums Hotel Elevator Escort – Lead NFO Participants through the front door of Snakedance Condominiums Hotel, turn left at Front Desk, proceed down the hall to the end the elevator is on right. Take elevator to 2, turn right when leaving the elevator, proceed down hall, expect multiply right & left turns past the bar & restaurants to outside exit at the base of lift #1, proceed across to Registration at the Looking Glass. (2 NFO Volunteers Fri/Sat AM only) Rental Ambassador – Ensure Participants easily pass through rental pick up, Participants are to exit through rear door. (3 NFO Volunteers Fri/Sat AM Only) Lead Volunteer: Phil Econom 949-701-2655 Location: Skiers Drop Off, Kitchen entrances & Sundance Condominium Hotel Drink & Snack Table – Serve Water, Hot Coco & Taos Mountain Energy Bars to NFO Participants provide information about events during the weekend & offer raffle tickets for sale. Hot Coco is being provided by TSV, please inform Roberta, with food and beverage, for more coco. (3 NFO volunteers Fri/Sat am/pm (2) Sun am/pm) Lead Volunteer: Jay Wood 575-751-0524 Location: Under Tent outside Tenderfoot Katies entrance NFO Participant Registration Table – Have Participants fill out registration form (1) for able body (1) for adaptive skiers. (4 NFO Volunteers Fri/Sat AM (2) NFO Volunteers Fri/Sat PM Sunday AM) • Give Participants Event Schedule • Sign Up Participants for Snowshoe Hike on Saturday morning • Hand out Gift Bags • NFO Volunteer Registration Table – Have Volunteers fill out registration form & direct adaptive instructors to Adaptive Equipment staging area. All other Volunteers direct to appropriate Lead Volunteer. (3 NFO Volunteers Fri/Sat AM (1) NFO Volunteer Sun AM) Lead Volunteer-Kym Sanchez 503-327-3626 Location: Looking Glass inside Tenderfoot Katie’s Raffle – Provide an entertaining event. (3 NFO Volunteers Sat 4pm-9pm) • Keep a detailed ledger of raffle tickets • Set up Raffle Table on Saturday after 5pm & Host drawing of winners after 6:30pm • Keep detailed list of winners & deliver prizes to said winners Lead Volunteer: NFO Treasure Barbara Tweed 512-750-6690 Location: Martini Bar Transportation Snowshoe Hike William Lake – Provide transportation from Cottams to base of Phoenix lift @ 08:30 for up to, 20 NFO Participants.
