Wed, Nov 26 Cant Stop Me Kingdom officials were jealous of Daniel and didnt like his trust in God. so they talked the king into making a law that it was illegal to pray to anyone but the king for one month. Whats one month without praying to your god, anyway? But Daniel still opened his window, looked toward Jerusalems temple location, and THREE TIMES every day gave thanks to God. (He got arrested. Read the rest of Daniel 6). But that didnt stop Daniel or God! Daniel 6:7-10 (NIV) 7 The royal [officials] have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or man during the next thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be thrown into the lions den. 8 Now, O king, issue the decree . . . 9 So King Darius put the decree in writing. 10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. Take time to thank God today - how about three times a day from now to the end of the week!
