Wed Oct 23rd 2013 AUD / ASIA Strategy Update (i) Some volatility in Asia after one way trading last couple of weeks. US dollar weakness vs EURO & YEN stalled the rally (ii) ASX 200 after 6 straight gains fell -0.3% to 5356 on bank selling -0.7% while BHP rallied 3rd day +1.2% on strong prodn data. $A hit 0.9750 target on > F/C CPI but fell -1c on AUD/JPY profit taking (iii) Nikkei -2% to 14426 on stronger YEN 97.50 (iv) China SSEC -1.2% down 2nd day on YUAN record 6.0855 & higher interbank rates as in June crisis (v) Focus tonight on US S&P 500 holding 1730 futures -0.3% 1741.70 with lack of real time data an issue for mkts & US Fed - for business strategy solutions please contact [email protected]
