Wed like to thank Marks and Spencer, Cheshire Oaks for raising a staggering £25,000 for Guide Dogs - their chosen Charity of the Year! The store, which is regularly used as a training venue for new dogs and puppies, chose Guide Dogs after seeing first-hand the benefits we give to their local customers. Working with the Guide Dogs Liverpool Mobility Team, employees and customers have been raising funds throughout the year! Fundraising efforts included a sponsored challenge, which saw the stores caretaking team sitting in a pool filled with cold rice pudding, male employees taking part in sponsored leg waxes and beard shaving, a 10K run, a fashion show at West Cheshire College and traditional events such as bag packs, cake sales and tombolas. Wow! In addition to raising £25,000, the team has named five guide dog puppies; Bobby, Cheshire, Spencer, Oake and Betty! The team at M&S will now be able to follow the journey of their five puppies from birth, through puppy walking and into training where they will learn their life-changing trade.
