Wednesday 21st GET THE REAL WISDOM “My son, if you receive my words … Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:1&5 (NKJV) You may not always have old people to advise you, but if you are humble and attentive enough you will come across words of wisdom from those who have been around a little longer than you. You will receive wise counsel from those who have by their rise and falls are experienced in the ways of life. You will be richly imparted by the wisdom of your parents. You will know how to walk, and who to walk with. Their words(experience) will teach you to a reasonable extent, the fear of the Lord. Job at the peak of his trials said: “Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.”Job 28:28 While Israel saw the Lords commandments as ten, Jesus calls them two. Matthew22:35-40 The first is to love the Lord, and the second is to love ones neighbour. And because there can be no proof of loving God (whom we do not see)without loving one’s neighbour, Jesus then said: “And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.”Luke 6:31 Jesus was just about thirty years of age when He said that, and that piece of advice is still very relevant today. Stop whatever you are doing to people that you would not want them to do to you, or to any member of your household. That is the fear of the Lord, and that is the real wisdom of God. Today’sMemory Verse:“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.” Proverbs 9:10&11 (NKJV) PRAYER POINT: Establish Your fear in my heart by the Holy Spirit Lord. Teach me how to love in words and in deeds in Jesus’ name.
