Wednesday 24/9/2014 Up at 6 and headed to Cid Harbour. Motored over. Our jib needs a new pulley which broke in the strong winds yesterday. After a few setbacks, we wanted to climb the peak as we find it the best relaxer. This time we decided to start from Dugong beach adding 1k and 15mins each way to the journey. It promised to be a different view of the islands as there were heavy clouds and occasional showers. Nothing like a walk through the forest with a shower .... its magic .... smells and colours are accentuated. Reaching the peak, the mist ahead blotted out the islands on the horizon but still beautiful in its own way. When we went to the South side we discovered Hamilton Is looked clearer. Love this spot and could never tire of its beauty. Finally down, as we reached our dinghy, the heavens opened with heavy rain and we took refuge under a tree for about 20minutes. Love the smells after a good rain. Back to our boat for some food and a relax, catching up on more reading. Wayne BBQd some Jamie Oliver chilli chicken that we love and a fresh raw salad rounded it all off for a great dinner. We put our clear sides up on deck as some showers were still around. We sat up on deck with the stillness all around us and contemplated where we would go tomorrow. Feeling blessed and at peace in this beautiful place.
