Wednesday 26th DECLARE IT “But rise and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.” Acts 26:16-18 Paul the apostle could not lie nor pretend about whom he had seen and what he had seen. He had seen a Light brighter than the sun. He had heard a Voice more powerful that the voices of men. He had met and seen Jesus Christ, and his initial mission to Damascus had been permanently changed. As he recounted his conversion to King Agrippa in the presence of Festus, the governor; the two men could not ignore his passion for Christ. While the Governor’s remark was uncouth, King Agrippa almost became a Christian. Acts 26: 24, 28 Paul was not afraid to tell the leaders of his time that he was a man on a mission. He knew who called him; he knew what he was sent to do. He refused to be intimidated and discouraged. His eyes were on a goal: “to open their (Gentiles) eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God.” Every vision is given to lead people on a path. It is an awareness that leads people to new discovery, values and ethics. Do you have a vision? What are you doing about it? Are you waiting for sponsors before bringing it down from the shelf? How do you think anyone will invest in a vision (project) you (the visionary) are not passionate about? Vision does not beg for attention, it takes it. Though John the Baptist’s ministry was in the wilderness, people from the cities went after him, even our Lord, Jesus Christ. Matthew 3 Towards the end of his life Jesus said this about him: “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:10 Stop begging for attention; create one with your vision. Present it, explain it and carry it with you wherever you go. Be passionate about it, people will soon give you the required attention and respect. Today’s Memory Verse: “So He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as His custom was He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read. …And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, ‘Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4: 16, 20-21 PRAYER POINT: Teach me how to develop Your resources in me O Lord. Give me the boldness Lord to declare to the world what You have deposited in me. Remove and destroy the seed of fear in me. Bring me to the place where You have prepared for me.
