Wednesday, 5 March 2014 – Ash Wednesday Masses in the Morning at: 5.30 a.m.; 6.45 a.m.; 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon Masses in the Evening at: 3.00 p.m.; 4.30 p.m.; 6.00 p.m. followed by Novena prayer to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, and 8.00 p.m. Please note that: The imposition of ashes will be done after all Masses. Please obtain your brown envelopes, ‘My Sacrifices for Lent’ after the Mass. These will also be available during Lent in the church portico or Parish office. You may return them during Lent or on Good Friday with your ‘Lenten Sacrifices’. Regulation on Fast and Abstinence during Lent: In accordance with the instructions of our Bishop Paul Hinder all Wednesdays during Lent should be observed as days of Abstinence. Additionally, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are the days of fast and abstinence. As a devotion and penance, the faithful are recommended to fast and abstain on other days also.
