Sweet red peppers filled with olives, garlic, capers, anchovies and tomatoes then baked and served with a traditional Piedmontese dressing of walnut oil infused with garlic, tomatoes and anchovies. And don’t be afraid to dunk your bread – the original bagna caoda is the Piedmontese equivalent of a fondue Served with home baked bread. Tonight’s choices are Fennel and Orange Rolls or Rosemary and Cranberry Granary Loaf followed by Wild Green Garlic Soup The last of the wild garlic is gracing the banks of the cloy burn, just begging for a fitting end to its brief life. what better send off than this glorious cream soup, garnished with Greek yogurt and pancetta? Lamb with Rosemary and Redcurrants Despite the depredations of the peacocks, who see our fruit cage as their own private larder, we have managed to rescue enough redcurrants to go with the rosemary from the potager in a rich sauce, complimenting wonderful Scottish fillet lamb baked and served on carrot and sweet potato mash together with Swedish roasted potatoes and home grown broad beans followed by Scottish Strawberries with Raspberry Sauce Strawberries grown in the tropical paradise that is Scotland, marinated in home made damson gin and served with a fresh raspberry sauce together with home made basil ice cream and white chocolate shortbread Or A Selection of Excellent Cheeses A selection of Scottish cheeses, featuring Arran cheeses from our local award-winning cheesemaker and served with fresh grapes and celery, together with chutney made from our own plums and apples, and a selection of Arran oatcakes and water biscuits (£6.75 as an extra course) Coffee and Petit Fours served in the Drawing Rooms (Cappuccino or Espresso £2.50) £45.00 Should you wish to discuss this menu, please contact us before 5pm, as changes cannot be made after then
