Wednesday, December 24, 2014, The Eighth and last day of Hanukkah. Christmas Eve. Last minute shopping. Candy making. Cooking for Christmas Dinner. Visits by friends and family. Making popcorn balls with the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Playing old records, real Christmas music, on a real record player. Sitting by the fire. Gazing at the Christmas tree. Thanking God for His blessings. Thanking God for the Saviour. Watching the Hanukkah lights flicker and burn out, while the Light still shines in our hearts, as we look forward to the next real Christmas when Christ appears in all His Glory. Israel will be regathered, restored, redeemed. Christ will reign on the Throne of David. The Church will reign with Him. There will be Peace on Earth. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.
