Wednesday December 24th: Good morning and Merry Christmas Eve to you! This certainly wont go down as one of the best Christmas Eves in the weather department, but if youre spending valuable time with family - really who cares? Rain much of today and tonight can be expected, with some embedded heavier rain at times and perhaps even a thunderstorm this afternoon/evening. This would be low-topped convection, which means not the crazy lightning type you would see in summer where it does occur. Rain ends overnight tonight after midnight, and after morning clouds Christmas morning, skies will clear out nicely. Winds will increase as a cold front crosses the area tomorrow morning and will be windy behind the front. We are watching the potential for SNOW on Monday for at least parts of our coverage area, and we talk about that in the daily forecast video on the homepage.
