Wednesday, January 21, 2015, 8 am - Pahoa & Pu‘u ‘O‘o overflight: Activity continues in the flow field above Hwy 130, although the leading edge has been advancing very slowly. Little breakouts are numerous in the immediate vicinity, while larger ones have been occurring in an area about 2 miles upslope, near where the northern lobe split from the Malama Market flow. lol, gotta name these darn things as Michelle Taira Medeiros mentioned yesterday! If not, it wouldve been: ..near where the new northern lobe split from the old northern lobe, the one off of which an even newer lobe split to the north but not as far north as the other but has advanced to become the new leading edge, that threatened Malama Market. lol, got it? ;-) MAHALO NUI LOA to our super pilot, Pete Stachowicz, his incredible boss and CEO of Paradise Helicopters, Calvin Dorn, and the rest of the wonderful staff at Papa Hotel for the STELLAR charter service!!!
