Wednesday January 21 On Sunday January 18th we produced a special show to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Mrs. Cecilia Blackfield. In 1936, Cecilia travelled to Honolulu on a ship and stayed at the Niumalu Hotel (now the Hilton Hawaiian Village). She made friends with all the musicians and dancers in Waikiki, and has loved the music and spirit of Hawaii ever since. Our show was a tribute to her and the music of her life during the Golden Era of Hawaii. Here is an excerpt from the show featuring the Supremes dancing Hene Hene Kou Aka. Aloha, Kanoe P.S.
