Wednesday July 9th is the 3rd Annual Dave Lowry Memorial race sponsored by Monte Motor Parts. It is also the popular Halloween in July night at the Southern Iowa Speedway. Drivers will bring their cars to the front stretch at intermission and hand out treats to the kids. Some of the drivers bring nice bags all Pre packed with candy and goodies for the kids. It is a night to be a kid this Wednesday night at the Southern Iowa Speedway. The next night Thursday July 10 we get our first race of the year in at the Scotland County Fair in Memphis, MO. This is many drivers favorite track and is called the widest track in the Midwest. The track is 3/8 around the bottom and a 1/2 mile around the top. All 5 classes will be in action and we use Memphis Rules. Modifieds $400, Stock Cars $350, Sport Mods $300, Hobby Stocks $250, and Sport Compacts $150 to win. It costs $10 to get into the fair and grandstands are free and pit passes are $15. Friday night July 11 is the Lee County Fair with UMP and IMCA Late Models going for $2500 to win and $250 to start. An extra $500 goes to the highest finishing IMCA legal Late Model. Also in action is IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, Mod Lites, and Midget Sprints. After the Lucas Oil MLRA Late Model race the drivers and fans cant wait to see this show. Hot Laps are 7:00 with racing at 7:30 at all 3 shows.
