Wednesday June 19th 2013 Police Intervene In Domestic Violence A 29 year old Lindsay man was arrested Tuesday evening following repeated allegations of violence from an ex-girlfriend. The man attended the residence of his ex-girlfriend on two occasions throughout the day. On both occasions, their verbal arguments ended with him shoving her. On his departure from the residence he took the liberty of smashing out a window of her vehicle. The male has been charged with three counts of assault and one count of mischief pertaining to the smashed window. He will attend court on July 18th. Counterfeit Money Exchanged For Pizza Police responded to Square Boys Pizza Tuesday evening around 11:15 after they had been stung for $50 exchanging a pizza for counterfeit currency. They had earlier received a telephone order valued at $27 for an Ops Township address. The delivery driver attended the area with the pizza, only to learn the address didn’t exist. He was flagged down by two males on foot who admitted to ordering the pizza. He was given a $50 bill and told to keep the change. It wasn’t until the driver returned to the store that he realized he had been defrauded. The officer will continue his investigation in an attempt to learn the identities of the two hungry men. Pottinger Drug Warrant Having a green thumb is not necessarily always a good quality. A Lindsay man is facing a court date for growing marihuana following the execution of a drug warrant at a Pottinger Street residence shortly after midnight on June 19th. Officers with both the Drug Investigation and Criminal Investigation branches entered the home on the strength of a warrant and seized 15 cannabis marihuana plants in various stages of growth along with dried marihuana prepared for re-sale valued at approximately $17,000. 30 year old Todd BROWN has been charged with both cultivating and possession of cannabis marihuana for the purpose of trafficking. Mr. BROWN will attend court on July 18th.
