However outbreaks of rain, locally heavy and preceded by snow in the north, will spread into western parts during the afternoon. Winds strengthening with severe gales in the west and south later. Temperatures 2 to 9 c. Outbreaks of rain in the west spreading eastwards overnight, becoming heavy at times. Very windy with gales, locally severe across the south and west. Clearer, colder conditions following with wintry showers moving into western parts later ☔
