Wednesday Night Cash Pot League This week’s featured match was Bonnyton Red Star V Ball Bags at 8.30pm it promised to be a great game of football. Promised to be a good match on paper before the game but Bonnyton Red Star were missing some key players due to Injury. We were left wondering if team selection would be a problem for the Bonnyton side even with Ballbag FC playing without a sub. Ballbag had plenty of running in them from the outset and some silky skills into the bargain. Big Daz McIver was sitting patiently waiting to be unleashed for Bonnyton as the filming started on the game, But would he have an impact or would Steven Hayes be banging in for the Reds. As the game progressed it was pretty much a one man strike force for the Bonnyton Red Star with Steven Hayes racking up 9 goals and Daz McIver scoring the other 1. BallBag FC had goals from D Clark(2), Jamie Nelson(8) and Jamie Wilson(9). Bonnyton really should have been closer but it wasn’t to be on the night. Beat on the night 19 – 10.
