Wednesday October 15, 2012: Captain Steve led the charge today as we went the extra mile for some well deserved whales. It may have taken us a while to get out to the spot, but when we did, the whales were there! We had some great interactions with 6 fin whales about 11 miles from Mission Bay. Along the way we spotted some elusive pacific white sided dolphins that allowed me to get a decent photo. We expect to see more and more of these guys as the fall progresses. We also saw dozens of the always entertaining flying fish! Every day is an adventure on the Privateer... Jeremy, Naturalist
