Wednesday October 1st 2014 The hospital called this morning for consent to take Bill into surgery. Then they called for consent to put a tracheotomy in. They they took him into surgery. He was out of surgery at/around 10am. They took his finger back to the first knuckle and they put a traction on his left femur. They are going to take him for surgery again tomorrow for his back. They didnt put the tracheotomy in today. Hes back their awake and he was moving his arms and Jeanna was telling him to relax his arms and he would lay them down. He was trying to take of the thing to read his heart rate, he was trying to take it off. They are going to do surgery on his back at 7:30 am they are going to put screws in the T9 T10 T11 and T12 vertebraes and rods in his back. After the back surgery thay are going to put a tracheotomy. He will be laying on his chest for the back surgery. They put him on normal dialysis where there might be days he can go without it. Hes tolerating the dialysis very well. His dialysis for today will be done at 6:30 pm. They washed him up after the dialysis. They shaved him up and was unable to shave his mustash. Vicki and Jeanna went back and he was wide awake he was holding Jeannas and Vickis hand. He shook his head yes when Jeanna told him she had to leave tomorrow to go to work. Vicki was talking to him and he knew Sue Kroh was there earlier today. Jeanna asked him if he had flem in his throat and he shook his head yes, then Jeanna asked if he wanted the nurse to get the flem out of his throat and he shook his head yes. The nurse made him cough to get it out. Vicki told him John Brown is coming to see him and he shook his head yes. John Brown arrived and Jeanna took him back. Bill was awake. Bill held Johns hand. John talked to Bill and Bill looked at him. Then Jeanna told him that if she didnt get to see him tomorrow she loved him and that she has to leave to go home to go to work and that she would be back monday. Then she told him that while shes gone hes to keep getting better so she can take him home and he nodded yes.
