Wednesday, October 22, 2014 Psalms 140:6-7 6I said to the Lord, “You are my God!” Listen O Lord to my cries for mercy! 7O Sovereign Lord, the strong one who rescued me, you protected me on the day of battle. Observation: In this Psalms, David is asking for protection from all the evil in the world. He’s asking for God to not let Evil have their way in this world. Application: I think that we can relate this now more than ever. We see on the news all the time all the awful things that are happening. All the people hurting people. Often it feels like it out ways the stories about the people’s living for the other good. I think this is the enemy’s tactic to try to make us feel like what we do here is hopeless and that there’s too much bad in this world. I say that it won’t work! We know one person can’t help everyone, but everyone can help one person! We can make a difference and that we can make this world better and therefore help defeat the evil in this world! Prayer: Dear Lord, Please help give us the strength we need to keep fighting. Please forgive us for the times that we get discouraged when we feel like what we do just can’t make a difference. Please have mercy on us when we sin. Thank you for your unconditional love. Please forgive us when we go against your plan for our lives. Help us live the life that you have planned for us. In your Son’s name, Jesus Christ. Amen! How did this Psalms speak to you? What verse stood out to you? How will your life change after journaling in your SOAP journal today? Please comment below
