Consider signing up to be a temporary foster! Temporary fostering can vary in length of time but typically would be a few days - 4 weeks. Animals in temporary foster homes would be ready for adoption and just waiting for placement in our offsite locations (4 PETCOs and the EAC)! Our new Everyday Adoption Center at PetSmart in Plymouth Meeting needs your help! Opening a new adoption center has opened up many new volunteer opportunities! Current volunteers who have gone through orientation at ACCT are ready to volunteer at the EAC after a quick introduction to the new location! Volunteer hours at this location are 9am-9pm Monday through Saturday and 10am until 6pm on Sunday! Most help is needed Monday nights, Friday nights and the weekends! Stop by during open hours to check out the EAC or email [email protected] for more information! PETCO HELP NEEDED Looking to volunteer closer to your home? Looking to interact with Cats in a new environment? Looking to process your own exciting adoptions? Well PETCO locations are looking for YOU! We need additional volunteers at our Petco Locations at Grant Avenue, Bensalem, Andorra, and Willow Grove! Duties include light cleaning and adoptions at shifts in the morning (9-11am) and in the evening (6-8pm). Weekend adoptions shifts are also available between 1-3pm. You can commit to as many or as few shifts as you like. Consider signing up weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly! Enrichment provides temporary relief of stress and depression in animals creating long term mental and physical health benefits! Show up during either of our weekly foodies groups! No need to RSVP, just come in during the proper times to help! OVERNIGHT BOTTLE FEEDER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR ON CALL DUTY! For those who cant commit to fostering neonatal kittens for long periods of time but wouldnt mind a night or two of adorable company (that wakes you up every few hours) should join our list of standby foster parents! Many nights the Lifesaving office struggles to find volunteers to take home these infants who cant survive any other way. No need to be a current foster parent, we will show you how it is done and get you started! Email [email protected] and we will put you on the call list in case of emergency! Dont worry, we understand if we call on a night that you cant, that is why we want the list to be long! The more people to call the higher the likelihood that we can get them out and give them another days chance at finding permanent foster care!
