Wednesday, October 30 2013 PREVAILING PRAYER My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. (Psalm 5:3) David was a great man of God. From his youth, he was deeply commited to early morning prayers. David did not only pray but looked up in expectation for answers to his prayers. Daniel also was a youth, committed to prayers. He was in exile in Babylon. The risk of the lions den could not deter him from praying. No wonder, Daniel did great exploits. Jesus, our perfect example, was victorious through prayer. The Bible says of Him, And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. (Mk 1:35) Dear youth, yoo too can be victorious in life through prayer. Your victory over challenges of life depend on your relationship with God. Your commitment to a daily communion with God will guarantee your victory over self, sin and Satan. You cannot achieve a fulfilled life without God. Resolve to maintain a consistent relationship with Him. From today, begin each day with God in prayer. As you pray, look up and answers will surely come. Challenge: Start each day with God. Prayer: Help me dear Lord to pray with an expectant heart. Further Reading: Daniel 6:1-11
