Wednesday is Diggers Members Garden day! And today were featuring the garden of Julijana from Burrawang NSW. Julijana says: After twenty or so years, of hard slog gardening, dealing with sandy soils, clay soils, sloping blocks (think goats), drought…we, have finally moved to an area with good rainfall, with soil as rich as a Cadbury chocolate bar, full of worms and goodness. We have arrived to whats called, “The Mecca” of the gardening world.... The Southern Highlands of NSW. A cool climate area, where I can finally indulge in my passion for Tulips, Peonies, Daffodils, Bluebells and unbelievable autumn colour. Just think of all those gorgeous English gardens that you see in magazines and we are smack bam in the middle of one of those. Our property is now a manageable 3 acres, having downsized from 100 acres and owning a Lavender farm. Being of Greek descent, we have always had a vegetable garden and I am also a keen cook. I get so much satisfaction picking our fresh produce and using heirloom varieties. This is vitally important to me! Diggers club and their huge range of heirloom plants and seeds have helped me create my perfect garden. Julijana has started her own wonderful garden blog which you can see at: ayearinmygarden
