Wednesdays Wonderful Collection - Arch Campbell Papers, MS.000060 Born Dec. 6, 1888 in Missouri, Arch Campbell moved to Little Rock in 1899. A World War I vet, he worked in the lumber and construction industry as an engineer. He was appointed district engineer for the State Highway Department by Governor Ben Laney. He later served as a judge for 18 years in Pulaski County and is most known for his extensive county road improvements in the 1950s and 1960s. The collection includes correspondence, receipts, speeches, political campaign material, magazine and newspaper clippings, legal papers, announcement cards and invitations, a framed award, citations and certificates.
