LEN WAREHAM CUP - QUARTER FINAL: Kent Wanderers 8 Sutcliffe Rangers 6 Baldon Sports vs Abbey Wood - To be replayed Kent Wanderers employ the Kevin Keegan style of play as their mentality was to score more goals than their opposition today irrespective of how many goals they conceded. Their tactics worked and so they play host to the winners of the Baldon Sports / Abbey Wood fixture in the Semi Final later in the season. Bexley Athletic were in cup competition this weekend and therefore drop a place to be third. A 9 goal thriller at the Meridian saw AFC Sporting Meridian (B) beat Whitefoot 5-4 to climb away from the wrong end of the table. FC Bexley beat Fridays 3-2 away to record their second win of the season. Ladywell continue to show great form as they beat Bromley Robins 2-1 to go third but level on points with Bromley Robins who still hold onto 2nd place on goal difference. An unbelievable match down at Sparrows Farm witnesses a 15 goal thriller between the two bottom teams with Mottingham Park Rangers beating Advent Royals 8-7. Reports suggest that the Referee had to go and purchase a pad and another pencil as he didnt have enough to keep score lol.
