Week 2 match of the round: The Believers FC VS Nunchuck - TopicsExpress

Week 2 match of the round: The Believers FC VS Nunchuck Slayers Kick off: 7:20 Venue: Monash Peninsula Activities and Recreation centre In the second round of competition The Believers FC will take on Nunchuck Slayers. This promises to be an exciting match up with the Nunchuck Slayers having the best keeper in the competition. After a shaky start to the season the Believers will be looking to really cement themselves as a danger team in this competition. The Believers will attempt to beat the Nunchuck Slayers without last week’s man of the match Eboni Vienna-Hallam who was pulled out due to unknown issues. This injury cloud will no doubt play on the minds of Believers fans. Keep an eye on Harry Doyle and Annabel Finch who have trained the house down all week. Tom Waterhouse betting odds: The Believers FC: 2:55 Draw: 2:00 Nunchuck Slayers: 2:45 We sat down with rival team captain/coach James Fowler in an exclusive interview. Q: “So James how was your team’s preseason” A: The Nunchuck Slayers have always been a team based on soul, spirit, and unity. We work well because we work as a team. Despite a couple of late transfers, I feel we have bonded exceedingly well. Although the technical training aspect of our preseason was a bit lacklustre, the strength and resolve simmering in the heart of the Nunchuck Slayers will carry us to greater heights then ever before this season. 2014: #yearoftheslayers Q: “You had a tough loss last week, what is going to give your team the edge?” A: Last week was the first time the new Nunchuck Slayers team had played together, and even then we had a few unfortunate absences. This week all our players will be back together on the court as one. Fabian rocket left-foot Cardin has had his customary one match warm-up, the girls have reacquainted themselves with the outstanding sense of positioning laying dormant within them, and Rhys will do his thing. Maria fiery wog Melas is my tip to come through with another ripper this week. We will have our full squad at our disposal this week, and the power of our teamwork will shine through. Unlike our opposition this week, we are not a group of egotistical individuals strung together for the sake of a few Facebook likes. The Nunchuck Slayers breathe as one - as a team - and that is what will give us the edge. Q: “The believers bolster an incredible line up is there anyone you’re going to try and target”? A: I prefer not to comment about other teams, particularly teams that seem to never stop commenting about themselves. Theres enough hot air being blasted around about The Believers, and I dont want to contribute to that kind of rubbish. Q:“Sam Kobal has come out and said that you are a one man team and that your goal keeper Rhys Sims Davies has been carrying your sorry a** for too long…Care to comment on Sam’s Opinion? A: First things first, there is absolutely no doubt that Rhys is a truly outstanding player. His pace, skill, and spirit is unrivalled by anyone in the league. He is an asset to the Nunchuck Slayers, but so is each and every other one of our players. Rhys has a job to perform in our team, but so do I, and so does everyone else. We are a team, and we are greater than the sum of our parts. For Sam to suggest that Rhys is our one man team overlooks the resilience and soul that underpins every goal, every shot, every pass the Nunchuck Slayers perform as a team. And well see whose a** is sorry after Monday night... Q: James do you believe? A: I refuse to blow even more smoke up this teams ass by taking dictations from a pack of keyboard warriors. There you go folks straight from the horse’s mouth.
