Week 35 Day 1 Prayer: Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for Your Vision of Maturity for my life. I thank You that as I yield to Your Spirit each day, I become more and more like Your Son. Amen. 2 Corinthians 1:8-10: We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. I don’t know what you’re going through right now in your life but understand that all the trials and tests are from God and He uses them to expose our weaknesses so that we may rely on His Strength and not our own. In that area of your struggle, perhaps God wants to show you your disobedience, rebellion and pride. That’s because we often live our lives based on our education, experience, charm, looks and other abilities without even being aware of it. We think we’re in Faith but we’re not. When the trials come, it exposes our reliance of our flesh, which is our ‘self’. God wants to show you just how much you need Him because as long as you don’t rely on Him, you are sure to worship your ‘self’. That’s idolatry! God loves you and He wants you to mature and let go of your own schemes and strategies of death because He wants you to discover His Way of Life. So don’t rely on your ‘self’, it’s too affected by death. Rely rather on God who has the Power to raise the dead and change your situation.
