Week 5 Update: Friends and Family of Delta Company, here is your week 5 update. This week again found the company at the rifle range, but the focus this week was Advanced Rifle Marksmanship (ARM). In the ARM periods we covered, the Trainees learned how to shoot from behind and utilize barriers as cover, to simulate an urban environment. They conducted this training both during the day and at night with the use of night observation devices (NODs) and laser designators that can only be seen by the use of NODs. The trainees executed a moving target range, more barrier shooting and a Combat Qualification where they had to determine the best shooting position to use for the scenario with minimal instruction. The final day of the week will be an easy day with an in-depth financial class. Next week we will be teaching the Trainees a multitude of different weapon systems other than the rifle, and we will squeeze in a day for the Trainees to be fitted and issued their Army Service Uniform (ASU) or in other words, their dress uniform. -WARDAWGS!!
